- Reconceptualise violence against women as a crime against person as well as the society as a whole and therefore it needs to be reported, investigated in a scientific manner and justice provided.
- Research studies undertaken by academicians, NGOs, social activists and others to be published and followed by advocacy and awareness. Formulating and enacting of new laws as well as reviewing of existing laws which provide protection to the victims of “domestic violence”.
- Facilitating and sensitizing law enforcement agencies like police and the judiciary. Recruiting more women into police forces.
- Launching of legal literacy programmes, paralegal training courses and information campaigns on laws and women’s human rights in colleges, secondary schools, and women’s organisations. Setting up of macro and micro level organisations at the national as well as grassroots level to monitor and review violence against women and children.
- Reformulation of syllabi in schools by replacing images, lesson and programmes that perpetuate gender distinction with gender neutral and pro-parity content. Opportunities for education and career creation so that women can be economically independent.
- Establishment of short stay homes in all districts of Delhi and Rajasthan for homeless, abandoned victimized women and children. Encourage and strengthen women’s human rights, groups to participate actively in all maters relating to promotion, protection and enforcement of women’s human rights.
